Configure Email

You will need to complete both sections below to have your email set up correctly for school.

Adding an Exchange account for Contacts:

  1. Go to Settings on your iPad, then go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  2. Tap on Add Account.
  3. Tap on Exchange.
  4. In the Email field, enter your school email address - for example: b01234@redlands.qld.edu.au
  5. In the Password field, enter your school password.
  6. In the Description field, enter in School Contacts and then tap Next.
  7. In the Server field, type in m.google.com and in the Username field, type in your school email address. Tap Next.
  8. Turn Mail off, and press Save.

Adding a Gmail account for Email:

  1. Go to Settings on your iPad, then go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  2. Tap on Add Account.
  3. Tap on Google.
  4. In the Email field, enter your school email address - for example: b01234@redlands.qld.edu.au and then tap Next.
  5. Type in your school password and tap Next.
  6. Turn off Contacts, Calendars, and Notes.
  7. Make sure Mail is turned on.
  8. Tap Save.
  9. In the list of mail accounts, tap on Gmail (it should be the account you've just added).
  10. Tap on Account.
  11. Make sure the Name field contains your name.
  12. In the Description field, type in School Email. Tap Done.
